
Public Equestrian Rest Area (PERA)

Project Scope:The District is proposing the PERA Project to provide a public equestrian recreation facility consistent with the Los Angeles River Master Plan and the City of Long Beach's RiverLink Study. The PERA will also complement the City of Long Beach's upcoming Wrigley Greenbelt Project. As proposed, the PERA will: Encompass approximately 1.3 acres of District right of way along the east bank of the Los Angeles River Consist of 40-foot diameter round pens, automatic horse waterers, hitching rails and mounting blocks, rain gardens, native landscaping, a decomposed granite walking path, rest area amenities, drainage improvements, and a 12-foot-wide access road.
