Los Altos Pumping Plant Mechanical and Electrical Rehabilitation

• Project Scope:
  The project includes improvements to the Los Altos Pumping Plant includes the replacement of four main pumps, two electric motors, and four discharge pipes; modification of the existing catwalk platform; and installation of new light fixtures.
• Project Benefits:
  Construction of the project will restore the pumping plant's storm water pumping capacity, reduce the need for future repairs to the major mechanical and electrical systems, and reduce the community's flood risk.
• Community Engagement:
  Public Works has informed the City of Long Beach of the project within their jurisdiction. Before the start of construction, Public Works will notify the neighboring businesses of the upcoming project. A permission to enter permit was acquired from the parking lot property owner to utilize their lot during construction.
