Project Scope:Project will construct 5 new injection wells and 2 observation wells to replace and supplement existing ABP facilities. o 5 injection wells will be constructed to replace 4 existing injection wells that are beyond their useful life and require immediate replacement. Public Works will meet with representatives from local cities to inform and solicit input from the public on the project.
-
Project Benefits:Once the new injection wells are brought online, they will help prevent seawater intrusion by creating a freshwater pressure ridge in the underlying aquifers of the Central Basin located in the County of Los Angeles and the Coastal Plain of Orange County.
