LAC-USC IPT 7A Conversion FS

• Project Scope:
  This project consists of renovation work to convert the Ward 7A Med-Surg Unit for the relocation of the 2E Behavioral Health Unit, as well as renovation work to convert the Ward 3D Administration space for the relocation of the Adolescent Psych Unit from the Hawkins Building.
• Project Benefits:
  The two proposed projects to remodel Wards 2E, 7A, and 3D within the existing Inpatient Tower, will provide 10 new adolescent psychiatric beds, 24 permanent adult acute psychiatric beds, and 24 behavioral health medical surgical beds. This will increase the County¿s ability to provide services to individuals experiencing acute mental health disorders and relocate ten adolescent psychiatric beds from the Augustus F. Hawkins Mental Health Building at the Martin Luther King, Jr., Medical Center campus.
