Lake Hughes Rd at 235ft S-o MM2.47 (2015 Oct Storm)

• Project Scope:
  The primary objective of this project is to install a reinforced concrete box culvert under Lake Hughes Road to accommodate the expected storm and debris flows from the new watercourse.
• Project Benefits:
  This project improvements are to safeguard the roadway from future debris flows and minimizing future debris removal and road closures.
• Community Engagement:
  A project information flyer and a pre-construction brochure will be provided just after the project has been awarded and a week prior to start of construction, respectively
• Project Location:
  Unincorporated County communities of Castaic and Lake Hughes on Lake Hughes Road south of mile marker 2.47.
• Cost Estimate:
  - Total Project: $5,300,000 - Construction: $2,520,000 - Grant Funds: $3,519,000
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports 12 direct and indirect jobs.
• Schedule:
  - Final Plans – Spring 2026
  - Advertise for Construction Bids – Fall 2026
  - Start of Construction – Summer 2027
