Amar Rd Complete Street Project

• Project Scope:
  The project is to develop Amar Road into a complete street by installing new curb ramps and bulb-outs; build new sidewalks; renovate existing medians and service island; install new raised medians; new landscaping including vines on wall expanses; resurface the road; install new bicycle lanes and crosswalk striping; and install new wayfinding signages and monument signs. New landscaping and median and service island renovations are not proposed within the City of La Puente due to budget constraints.

  This project is to improve traffic safety and pedestrian mobility, increase green infrastructure, and create community identity,
• Community Engagement:
  Once a scope has been formalized, outreach events will be held within the project area to receive input from the community. Additional outreach events will be conducted during the design and construction phases of this project.

  Unincorporated communities of Bassett, West Puente Valley, and the Cities of La Puente and Industry
• Cost Estimate:
  $20,000,000
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports direct and indirect jobs.
