Slauson Blue Line Station Intersection Improvements

• Project Scope:
  The project consists of pedestrian access improvements at five intersections including curb extensions, curb ramp upgrades, sidewalk and driveway repairs, enhanced crosswalk and advanced vehicle stop striping.
• Project Benefits:
  Provide better connectivity to the Slauson Station of the Metro Blue Line by improving pedestrian safety at five intersections.
• Community Engagement:
  A community meeting was held on April 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at: Florence Library 7807 Compton Ave Los Angeles, CA 90001
• Project Location:
  Five intersections in the Unincorporated County community of Florence-Firestone: · Slauson Ave. and Hooper Ave. · Slauson Ave. and Compton Ave. · Compton Ave. and 60th St. · Slauson Ave. and Miramonte Blvd. · Slauson Ave. and Holmes Ave.
• Cost Estimate:
  Total Project: $3,600,000 Construction Costs: $1,764,264 Grant Funds: $1,465,000 Fed ID: ATPL-5953(773)
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports 14 direct and indirect jobs.
