Mulholland Highway Over Triunfo Creek Bridge 1180 On-System (2018WOOLSEYFIRE)

  • Project Scope:
    The project will construct a new two-lane steel truss bridge on Mulholland Highway over Triunfo Creek.
  • Project Benefits:
    The project will replace the original bridge which was burned in the 2018 Woolsey Fire. Mulholland Highway is a critical route through the unincorporated community of Cornell. Replacement of the bridge will reduce commute times for residents and restore access to the area for first responders.
  • Community Engagement:
    The project team has met with members of the community at various outreach events and community meetings as part of the Woolsey Fire rebuilding process. Ongoing outreach will include continuing updates through future community meetings.
  • Project Location:
    The Unincorporated Community of Cornell.
  • Cost Estimate:
    Total Project: $6,665,000 Construction: $4,600,000
  • Economic Impact:
    Project construction supports 59 direct and indirect jobs.
  • Schedule:
    - Advertise for Construction – Oct 2019
    - Start of Construction – May 2020
    - End of Construction – May 2022
