Norwalk Boulevard (Mines Bl to Broadway) Vision Zero Traffic Safety Enhancements

• Project Scope:
  Public Works is currently scoping this project. Potential traffic safety enhancements may include high visibility crosswalks, Leading Pedestrian Intervals, curb extensions (paint and bollard), and edge-line striping.
• Project Benefits:
  A portion of Norwalk Bl is identified as a Vision Zero Collision Concentration Corridor. This project will install traffic safety enhancements aimed at reducing fatal and severe injury collisions along Norwalk Bl.
• Community Engagement:
  Community outreach will occur to obtain feedback on proposed enhancements before and after installation.
• Project Location:
  This project is located on Norwalk Bl between Mines Bl and Broadway in the unincorporated community of West Whittier/Los Nietos.
• Cost Estimate:
  - Total Project: $1,385,000.00 (SB1-RMRA Safety Funds)
