Chantry Flat Road Bridge at MM 2.95 and Retaining Wall Repair Off-System (2020 Bobcat Fire)

  • Project Scope:
    The primary objective of this project is construct a 240-foot concrete bridge. The project includes: - Construct concrete bridge - Scale slope for loose boulders - Removal of existing burned guardrails and posts
  • Project Benefits:
    This project will repair the damage caused by the Bobcat Fire on Chantry Flat Rd at mile marker 2.95. This will enable the reopening of the road which will allow for the full use of the various trails, cabins, and the Adams Pack station by visitors and residents.
  • Community Engagement:
    Forest Services, residents of the cabins, and the owner of the Adams Pack Station are frequently contacted by email and conference calls to discuss project progress including expected start and finish dates of the construction.

  • Cost Estimate:
    - Total Project: $5,400,000 - Construction: $4,200,000
  • Economic Impact:
    Project construction supports 52 direct and indirect jobs.

    - Advertise for Construction – Nov 2021
    - Start of Construction – Feb 2022
    - End of Construction – Dec 2022
