Big Tujunga Canyon Road

  • Project Scope:
    The primary objective of this project is to rehabilitate 5.3 miles of major roads. The project includes the following proposed work: - Pavement prep work - Pavement rehabilitation
  • Project Benefits:
    This project will improve quality of life for residents and lessen wear and tear on vehicles. This project will also help to preserve natural resources by using recycled and in-place materials, resulting in cost savings and reduction in greenhouse gas, energy, and landfill deposition.
  • Community Engagement:
    A project information flyer and a construction brochure will be provided just after the project has been awarded and a week prior to start of construction, respectively.
  • Project Location:
    Various roadways within the Angeles National Forest.
  • Cost Estimate:
    - Total Project: $3,300,000 - Construction: $2,500,000
  • Economic Impact:
    Project construction supports 62 direct and indirect jobs.
  • Schedule:
    - Start of Construction – Jul 2022
    - End of Construction – Aug 2022
