Project Scope:Install advance curve advisory signs and chevron signs in accordance with current California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices requirements to enhance safety along San Francisquito Canyon Road and Lake Hughes Road. The project will update existing signing along the road including installing advance curve advisory speed signs and arrows for horizontal curves where applicable.

Project Benefits:This signing project will enhance motorists' awareness of approaching curves in the roadway and the advisory speeds at which negotiating the curves are recommended.

Community Engagement:A project information flyer and a pre-construction brochure will be provided shortly after the project has been awarded and prior to start of construction.

Project Location:This project is located near the County of Los Angeles unincorporated communities of Castaic and Lake Hughes. For San Francisquito Canyon Road, it begins at Elizabeth Lake Road to the City of Santa Clarita Boundary Line. For Lake Hughes Road, it begins at Elizabeth Lake Road to Ridge Route Road. The length of the entire project is approximately 42 miles.
