• Project Scope:
  The objective of this project is to upgrade the traffic signal at the intersection of Normandie Avenue at 228th Street, including installing protected-permissive left turn phasing and upgrading the signal standards, mast arms, vehicle heads, bicycle & vehicle detection, ADA access ramps, communication, and other associated equipment.
• Project Benefits:
  When properly used, traffic signals are valuable devices for the control of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. They provide for the orderly movement of traffic and may reduce the frequency and severity of certain type of collisions.
• Community Engagement:
  A project information flyer and a pre-construction brochure will be provided shortly after the project has been awarded and prior to start of construction.

  This project is located at the intersection of Normandie Avenue at 228th Street, in the unincorporated County of Los Angeles community of West Carson.
