Florence-Firestone - Gage Avenue at Hooper Avenue

  • Project Scope:
    Installation of protected/permissive left-turn phasing for all four approaches.
  • Project Benefits:
    When properly used, traffic signals are valuable devices for the control of vehicular and pedestrian traffic. They provide for the orderly movement of traffic and may reduce the frequency and severity of certain type of collisions.
  • Community Engagement:
    A project information flyer and a pre-construction brochure will be provided shortly after the project has been awarded and a week prior to start of construction, respectively.
  • Project Location:
    The project is at the intersection of Gage Avenue and Hooper Avenue in the unincorporated community of Florence-Firestone in Supervisorial District 2.
  • Cost Estimate:
    Total Project: $1,200,000 Construction: $660,442
  • Economic Impact:
    Project construction supports 8.20 direct and indirect jobs.
  • Schedule:
    - Start of Construction – Apr 2022
    - End of Construction – Jan 2024
