Willowbrook - Avalon Blvd at 127th St

• Project Scope:
  -Install a marked yellow, continental crosswalk, with all appropriate school crossing signages and markings, at and in advance of the proposed crosswalk, including advance yield markings and signage, on the south leg of the intersection across Avalon Boulevard at 127th Street. -Red curb at the crosswalk approach
• Project Benefits:
  A crossing guard study was conducted at the subject location and it is recommended to install a crosswalk and implement adult crossing guard services. When properly used, marked crosswalks help indicate the right-of-way for motorists to yield to pedestrians.
• Community Engagement:
  A Public Safety Meeting was held on March 5, 2020 for Amino Mae Jemison community members.
• Project Location:
  Avalon Boulevard and 127th Street is in the unincorporated community of Willowbrook in the Second Supervisorial District.
• Cost Estimate:
  Total Project: $35,000
