• Project Scope:
  The objective of this project is to install traffic signals at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Burgess Avenue.
• Project Benefits:
  Improve safety at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Burgess Avenue for pedestrians and vehicles.
• Community Engagement:
  A constituent contacted the City of La Mirada requesting a traffic signal at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Burgess Avenue. The County is coordinating with the City of La Mirada to address the constituent's request.
• Project Location:
  The project is at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Burgess Avenue, which is jurisdictionally shared between the County of Los Angeles, in the unincorporated community of South Whittier, and the City of La Mirada.
• Cost Estimate:
  Total: $2,400,000 Construction: $1,540,000
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports 19.10 direct and indirect jobs.
• Schedule:
  - Final Plans – Late 2025
  - Advertise for Construction Bids – Fall 2026
  - Start of Construction – Summer 2027
