View Park/Windsor Hills Ladera Heights - Community Traffic Safety Plan

  • Project Scope:
Request consulting services to develop a Community Safety Traffic Plan in the View Park/Windsor Hills & Ladera Heights neighborhoods in unincorporated Los Angeles County. The request for these services stem from a Board Motion that passed following a fatal collision that took place at the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue in August 2022. The Community Safety Traffic Plan will consist of traffic engineering reviews that include, but are not limited to, the feasibility of designs for road diets to curb excessive speeding, signal modifications, and residential speed mitigation throughout the community.
  • Project Benefits:

Managing vehicular speed is an effective strategy to reduce fatal and severe injury collisions on roadways and Public Works continues to use both proven and innovative tools to enact that strategy.
