Advertising Bus Shelter Replacement Project (Phase 1)

• Project Scope:
  The primary objective of this project is to revitalize 40 bus stops across unincorporated Los Angeles County, through the installation of improved shelters, benches, and bike racks.
• Project Benefits:
  The project enhances public transit accessibility and encourages sustainable transportation choices.
• Community Engagement:
  A survey was conducted for feedback on bus shelter design. Direct engagement with residents and businesses near new bus shelter installations occurred in February, 2024. Phone outreach to nearby businesses and schools followed in February, 2024. Project has been presented at community meetings to East LA, West Athens, Westwood, North Westwood, South Whittier, Willowbrook, and Altadena. A Project Information Flyer was distributed in September 2024 to alert residents of upcoming construction.

• Cost Estimate:
  - Total Project: $3,400,000 - Construction: $2,100,000
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports 17 direct and indirect jobs.
• Schedule:
