Project Scope:The primary objective of the Ramona Boulevard/Badillo Street/Covina Boulevard Traffic Signal Synchronization Project is to improve the movement of vehicles and decrease the amount of time motorists will be stopping at red traffic signals. The project will: o Upgrade 49 traffic signals o Place detectors along the route to detect the presence of vehicles o Synchronize traffic signals along the route by coordinating and adjusting the timing of signals between successive intersections The primary objective of the Ramona Boulevard/Badillo Street Bus Signal Priority Project is to reduce delay of transit operations and improve the operation of Foothill Transit services. The project will: o Deploy detection, network, and communication equipment at up to 38 signalized intersections o Place communication units on Foothill Transit buses o Adjust signal timing for bus signal priority

Project Benefits:The TSSP project will significantly reduce delays and accidents, thereby alleviating motorists frustration, air pollution and operational costs. The BSP project will improve transit operations, reducing delayed bus service, thereby alleviating patron frustration, air pollution and operational costs.

Project Location:TSSP: Santa Anita Avenue to the 57 Freeway BSP: Tyler Avenue to Grand Avenue Unincorporated Community of Covina Island, Covina, and San Dimas. City of El Monte, City of Baldwin Park, City of West Covina, City of Covia, and City of San Dimas.
