Beverly Boulevard TSSP - Pomona Boulevard to Pickering Avenue

• Project Scope:
  The primary objective of the Beverly Boulevard from Atlantic Boulevard to Pickering Avenue Traffic Signal Synchronization Project is to improve the movement of vehicles and decrease the amount of time motorists will be stopping at red traffic signals. The project will o Upgrade 34 traffic signals o Place detectors along the route to detect the presence of vehicles o Synchronize traffic signals along the route by coordinating and adjusting the timing of signals between successive intersections
• Project Benefits:
  This project will significantly reduce delays and accidents, thereby alleviating motorists' frustration, air pollution and operational costs.
• Community Engagement:
  Community engagement will be conducted as appropriate.
• Project Location:
  Community of East Los Angeles and the Cities of Montebello, Pico Rivera, and Whittier.
• Cost Estimate:
  Total project cost $5,241,670. Construction cost $3,143,114.
• Economic Impact:
  Project construction supports 16.40 direct and indirect jobs.
