Project Scope:The primary objective of the Prairie Avenue from 118th Street to Redondo Beach Boulevard Traffic Signal Synchronization Project is to improve the movement of vehicles and decrease the amount of time motorists will be stopping at red traffic signals. The project will o Upgrade 4 traffic signals o Timing and signal improvements o Place vehicle detectors in the pavement to detect the presence of vehicles o Synchronize traffic signals along the route by coordinating and adjusting the timing of signals between successive intersections

Project Benefits:This project will significantly reduce delays and accidents, thereby alleviating motorists' frustration, air pollution and operational costs.
