The primary objective is to upgrade the City of South Gate's traffic signal communications and to create a Fiber Optic backbone network from the County's traffic signals west of Alameda Street through the cities of South Gate, Downey, and Norwalk. Communications will be installed along: o Firestone Boulevard from Alameda Street to Ryerson Avenue; o Otis Street from Firestone Boulevard to South Gate City Yard; o Installation of 13 CCTV Cameras at various locations.

This project will enhance the Intelligent Transportation Systems
