The primary objective is to upgrade the City of South Gate's traffic signal communications and to create a Fiber Optic backbone network from the County's traffic signals west of Alameda Street through the cities of South Gate and Downey. Communications will be installed along: o Firestone Boulevard from Alameda Street to Ryerson Avenue; o Otis Street from Firestone Boulevard to South Gate City Yard; o Installation of 3 CCTV Cameras at various locations.

This project will enhance the Intelligent Transportation Systems

Community engagement will be conducted as appropriate including flyers and notices before construction.
