
Big Dalton Spreading Grounds Improvement and Multi-Use Project

Project Scope:The Project proposes to improve the operability and storage capacity of the spreading grounds, improve the existing diversion structure to the spreading grounds from Big Dalton Debris Dam, install a pipeline for imported water between PM-26 and Big Dalton Spreading Grounds, and provide multi-use (recreational) amenities.

Project Benefits:The Project will improve operability and water conservation capacity of the Big Dalton Spreading Grounds. Current estimates anticipate an increase in 1,370 acre-feet of water conserved per average water-year.

Community Engagement:An agreement between TVMWD, the City of Glendora, and the LACFCD defining the responsibilities of each agency, including cost-sharing, will be negotiated and drafted once the Project Concept is approved.

Project Location:Big Dalton Spreading Grounds is located downstream of Big Dalton Debris Basin, between the Little Dalton Diversion Channel and Big Dalton Wash in the City of Glendora.
