Big Tujunga Reservoir Restoration Project

Project Scope:This project will remove approximately 2.0 million cubic yards of sediment from Big Tujunga Reservoir. All removed sediment will be placed in the adjacent Maple Canyon Sediment Placement Site, located southeast of the reservoir.

Project Benefits:This project will restore the reservoir's storage and flood control capacity, decreasing flood risk to downstream communities. This project will also restore the reservoir's water conservation capabilities and preserve operability of the dam's flood control valves.
