Project features include new drainage infrastructure to capture and treat stormwater. More than half a million gallons of stormwater will be converted annually to irrigate the park and infiltrate approximately 25 million gallons into underground wells below Ladera Park.

Drywell installation has been completed. Above-ground construction has begun.

Drywell installation in Ladera Park Avenue under way.

Water Reuse System in place.

Drywell installation is nearing 75% completion.

Drywell Installation is ongoing.

February 10, 2020

Installation underway for RCP connecting drywells.

Splitter structure installed; slide gate installation beginning

Splitter Structure is being installed.

November 14, 2019

Pretreatment system being installed. Seven drywells have been drilled. Drywell installation is ongoing.

September 9, 2019

Dry well drilling has started in September 2019.

AUGUST 20, 2019

Construction began in June 2019. The diversion structure is being installed on Slauson Avenue and is expected to conclude by the end of August. Dry well installation is anticipated to begin in September 2019.


The construction contract was awarded to Kaveh Engineering and Construction, Inc. and executed in January 17, 2018. Construction is expected to start in late May 2019 and be completed in October 2019. Click on the links below for the project plans and specifications.
