Roadmap Update

Los Angeles County has updated the Roadmap to a Sustainable Waste Management Future. The updated document, now referred to as the Los Angeles County Zero Waste Plan, establishes a framework with an enhanced focus on initiatives to maximize source reduction and recovery of materials/energy, decrease reliance on landfills, and reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions causing climate change.

Prior to the adoption of the Zero Waste Plan by the Board of Supervisors in September 2022, Public Works conducted virtual community meetings to provide an opportunity for the public to learn more about the update and give feedback to consider for the final version.
