Free Bottled Water Available for Affected Residents

MALIBU, CA (August 6, 2025)—Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 29 (Malibu) has issued a Boil Water Notice for residents in portions of Malibu following a low-pressure event caused by a Caltrans bridge replacement project at Solstice Canyon Creek. The notice follows a water supply disruption tied to construction activities by Caltrans.

Caltrans crews completed the repairs by noon today, and Los Angeles County Waterworks District 29 is working to restore full water service as quickly and safely as possible.

The area affected by the boil water notice includes customers within the following areas:

  • West of Corral Canyon Rd. and Solstice Canyon Rd.
  • Excluding customers residing at Trancas Canyon and Latigo Canyon

Affected customers are advised to boil their water for at least one minute before drinking or using it for cooking, brushing teeth, or food preparation.

This advisory is a precautionary measure recommended in coordination with the State Water Resources Control Board to avoid potential stomach or intestinal illness due to possible contaminants in the water system.

Free Bottled Water Distribution

To support affected residents, bottled water is available at:
