The Antelope Valley State Water Contractors Association prepared and submitted a Proposition 84 Planning Grant application (using RMC Water and Environment consultant services) on behalf of the Regional Water Management Group and the Stakeholder Group on September 28, 2010. The grant application proposes to update the existing 2007 Antelope Valley Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP) to meet the new guidelines for an IRWMP as required by Department of Water Resources. This includes further development of the Governance, Project Review Process, Relation to Local Land Use Planning and Disadvantaged Community Outreach sections of the IRWMP and incorporating new requirements to address Climate Change. The plan will also include focused, topic-specific planning efforts such as a Salt/Nutrient Management Plan and a Regional Integrated Flood Management Plan.
