How to dispose of old water coolers, refrigerators, and air conditioners.

Answer:
Appliances which contain materials that are hazardous to the environment, such as freon, require a Certified Appliance Recycler to remove the materials. This applies to items such as air conditioners and refrigerators.

1. Please contact your local waste hauler to see if they can provide this service. If so, fees may be involved.

2. Please contact a Certified Appliance Recycler to remove the freon. The appliance can then be recycled by a metal recycler or by calling your waste hauler to make arrangements for a bulky item collection.
