Implementation of the Strategic Plan was recently re-scoped and streamlined from 6 Strategic Priority Areas (SPA) to 4. In the process, reference to two original SPAs, Safety and Enhancing Communities, was eliminated. Both of these were important concepts in the development of the Strategic Plan, so Department Administration felt it important to retain them by re-framing all of the original SPAs as the Strategic Focus in concept only. Implementation of the Strategic Plan is being carried out through the re-scoped and re-named SPAs.
