Yosemite Clean Energy to Receive $1 Million from State of California for Forest Biomass to Hydrogen Projects
Yosemite Clean Energy was selected to receive two $500,000 Forest Biomass to Carbon-Negative Biofuels grants from the California Department of Conservation. The projects funded under the program will support sustainable forest stewardship within California that will help reduce the risk of wildfires and provide zero emission, carbon-negative fuels for the transportation industry. The first grant will support Yosemite's flagship project in Oroville, CA. The second grant will support preliminary engineering for Yosemite's Tuolumne County hydrogen project. Canadian-Owned Irving Oil Selects Anaergia Inc. as a Supplier of Carbon-Negative Renewable Natural Gas for its Operations, Including the Saint John Refinery
Irving Oil and Anaergia have announced a partnership that will supply Canada's largest refinery with renewable natural gas (RNG). The RNG will be produced at Anaergia's Rhode Island Bioenergy Facility, where 100,000 tons per year of food waste and other organic wastes that would otherwise have been landfilled are processed through anaerobic digestion into renewable fuel. This RNG is recognized as carbon-negative due to its ability to capture more methane emissions than the organic waste would have otherwise created when landfilled. For more information, click here.
