Synthica Energy Receives Air Quality Permit for Georgia AD Facility
Synthica Energy, a Cincinnati-based developer of anaerobic digestion facilities that converts organic waste into renewable natural gas, has received an Air Quality Permit from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for its new facility in Rome, Georgia. The new facility will divert up to 300,000 tons of industrial organic waste each year when completed. The permit paves the way for Synthica to break ground at the site in the second quarter of 2024, with operations expected to begin in late 2025. For more information, click here.

Evergen Announces 5-Year Waste Processing Agreement with Canadian City
EverGen Infrastructure Corp., a Canadian renewable natural gas infrastructure platform, has been awarded a new five-year agreement with Abbotsford, British Columbia, to process the city's organic waste. 17,600 tons per year of organic waste is collected through the city's curbside collection program. The organic waste will be processed at EverGen's Pacific Coast Renewables facility. The facility also processes organic waste from the nearby cities of Chilliwack and Coquitlam.
