Chomp's Circular Solution to Food Waste: On-Site Anaerobic Digestion
Chomp Energy has miniaturized their anaerobic digestion (AD) technology, making it accessible to a wide range of organizations, including supermarkets, university and college campuses, food manufacturing and processing facilities, utilities, and residential communities. Chomp's on-site AD distinguishes itself from off-site AD by converting food waste into renewable energy right at the source of waste generation. This approach allows for availability of biogas onsite and the possibility of lower hauling emissions and fees. Owners could also be eligible for tax incentives and carbon credits. Island Spring Organics is a tofu producer in Washington that uses the Chomp on-site AD to process its tofu production byproducts. For more information, click here.
