      | The City of Long Beach Approves Bioenergy Devco's Bid for Organics Recycling Facility  The City of Long Beach has entered into exclusive negotiations with Bioenergy Devco to construct an anaerobic digestion facility that will convert organic waste, including food scraps, into a soil amendment and renewable natural gas (RNG). The facility will generate biogas from organic waste streams and then clean and condition the gas to pipeline quality RNG. The new facility will be constructed on the Southeast Resource Recovery Facility (SERRF) site, previously operated by Covanta. SERRF is slated to be decommissioned and demolished by the city later this year. For more information, click here. | |

      | Sunnyside Renewable Natural Gas Project Moving Forward  The proposed Sunnyside Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility has completed the Washington State environmental assessment process. The facility will use anaerobic digestion to process agricultural crop waste and dairy manure from local farmers. The facility will produce approximately 900,000 MMBtu of RNG per year, enough to power roughly 90,000 homes. The RNG will be injected into the interstate natural gas pipeline.  For more information, click here. | |
