True North Renewable Energy to Produce RNG in California
True North Renewable Energy (TNRE) announced a partnership with The Weitz Company and DRANCO as the technology supplier for their organic waste to renewable energy development projects in the Western United States. TNRE is currently developing three anaerobic digestion facilities - two in California and one in Arizona. Each facility will be capable of processing up to 600,000 tons per year of organic waste to produce up to 8 million diesel gallon equivalents of renewable natural gas, comparable to removing 35,000 passenger vehicles from the road per year. Anaerobic Digester Facility Planned for New York
American Organic Energy has announced the beginning of construction for its new anaerobic digestion facility located in Yaphank, New York. The facility will convert 180,000 tons of food waste into two megawatts of electricity, 1.9 million diesel gallon equivalents of compressed natural gas, and fertilizer. When fully operational, the facility is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 40,000 tons annually. For more information, click here.
Anaergia to Upgrade Anaerobic Digesters to Produce Renewable Energy
Anaergia has signed an agreement with the Town of Petawawa, Ontario, to upgrade the existing anaerobic digesters located at Petawawa's Water Pollution Control Plant. Anaergia's system will upgrade the digesters to process biosolids and municipal organic waste to produce heat and electricity. For more information, click here.
