The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works will host an oil filter exchange event at O'Reilly Auto Parts store, 1350 Long Beach Boulevard, Long Beach, CA 90813, on December 4, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All residents who exchange a used oil filter at the event will receive one new oil filter for free. Used oil filters must be placed in a plastic bag and sealed. Residents may also recycle used motor oil inside the O'Reilly store. Used motor oil must be placed in a leak-proof container. Do not mix oil with other liquids or materials, including water. Mixing liquids contaminates the motor oil, which cannot be recycled.
