Introduction
The Information Technology Divisions (i.e., Systems & Applications and Operations & Infrastructure) are actively involved in several key sustainability initiatives. Two indicators the divisions are focusing in on are IT System Materials and Energy Conservation and Efficiency.
By partnering with divisions, agencies, and business users, both divisions seek to find solutions to improve business processes by providing technology strategies, project management, governance processes, infrastructure support, and eGovernment services. Some of the services include:
- Design, develop, and maintain over 400 business and engineering systems/applications
- Manage enterprise data warehouses and related analytic or dashboard tools
- Develop Geographic Information Systems and support CADD software
- Responsible for the Department’s Internet/Intranet websites, Document Management, Maintenance Management Systems
- Oversee the Department’s IT infrastructure through Network, Server, Telecommunications, Desktop Support Services, Help Desk, Dispatch, and Inventory operations
