Belvedere Park Pool (Public Buildings)
The proposed project will include a new aquatic center to replace the existing 60 plus year old pool facility at Belvedere Community Regional Park. The new single story aquatic center involves the construction of a new approximately 9,939 square-foot pool building with restrooms, changing rooms, staff offices, storage and utility rooms, and an attached 1,652 square-foot pool mechanical room, a new outdoor 12,743 square foot Olympic-size competition pool, a new 2,550 square-foot lap pool, a new 1,100-square-foot splash pool, a new 1,100 square-foot senior's pool, and associated site improvements, including an expanded parking lot, walkways, fencing, landscaping and irrigation, and replacement of underground utilities.   The project is targeting a LEED Silver Certification.

The proposed project will divert construction debris from local landfills, optimize energy performance and water use efficiency, improve indoor and outdoor environmental quality, maximize the use and reuse of sustainable, recycled, and local materials.  All together these improvements will enhance the sustainability of the site.

The new aquatic center will enhance cultural, recreational and educational opportunities for residents and visitors.
Contribution to Economic Health
The project is an investment in public infrastructure and reduced operation and maintenance costs.
