These environmentally-themed lesson plans were developed by K-12 science education specialists in L.A. County and are aligned with California Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and California Environmental Principles and Concepts (CA EP&C). Poster Contest
Students in grades 3-5 are invited to enter the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors CAN THE TRASH! Clean Beach Poster Contest. Winners will have their artwork displayed around trash barrels on the beach. Entries are accepted year-round.
