Project Summary
Residents of Los Angeles County deserve state-of-the-art transportation infrastructure that is safe, clean, resilient, sustainable, and equitable. In the coming years, the County will be installing or replacing over 250 bus shelters throughout unincorporated areas. Phase 1 of this project will involve the installation of 40 new bus shelters in the unincorporated communities of Altadena, East Los Angeles, Lennox, South Whittier, Valinda, West Athens, West Los Angeles, and Willowbrook.
Community engagement is something Public Work prioritizes to maintain transparency and active communication. Public Works also understands local businesses want minimal disruptions during day-to-day operations. Work will be done during the daytime hours with an estimated construction time of 5 days per bus shelter.
We encourage residents and business owners to share concerns or feedback with our designated representatives listed at the bottom of this page. Your input is invaluable, and we are dedicated to addressing issues that may arise during the project’s development. By collaborating, we can ensure a successful outcome that benefits the entire community.
