Colima Road – Traffic Control
Project Summary
Los Angeles County residents deserve access to state-of-the-art transportation infrastructure that is safe, resilient, sustainable and equitable. The County is investing in enhancing the quality of life in the unincorporated communities of Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights by making significant improvements to the roadway along Colima Road.
In partnership with the community, Los Angeles County Public Works is set to enhance approximately 5 miles of roadways, including traffic signal improvements, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, and curb ramps. To further promote cycling and ensure safer travel for bicyclists, new bike route signs will be installed along Colima Road. Additionally, the medians will be landscaped to beautify the immediate communities.
Public Works is pursuing a proactive approach to community engagement, making sure that local concerns are heard and addressed. Public Works is committed to issuing advance notice to both residents and businesses prior to construction activities, to minimize community disruption.
We encourage residents and business owners to share concerns or feedback with our designated representative listed at the bottom of this page. Your input is invaluable, and we are dedicated to addressing issues that may arise during the project’s development. By collaborating, we can ensure a successful outcome that benefits the entire community.
