Community Traffic Safety Plan

View Park-Windsor Hills & Ladera Heights

Project Summary

In response to a Board Motion passed in August 2022 and with support from Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell’s office, Public Works is developing a Community Safety Traffic Plan in the View Park/Windsor Hills and Ladera Heights neighborhoods in unincorporated Los Angeles County. The Community Safety Traffic Plan consists of traffic engineering reviews that include, but are not limited to, the feasibility of designs for road diets to curb excessive speeding, signal modifications, and residential speed mitigation throughout the community.

Public Works strives to be an excellent provider of public services to the community and strongly supports the efforts to create a more livable Los Angeles County through enhanced infrastructure. The Community Safety Traffic Plan will identify traffic safety focus areas within the View Park/Windsor Hills and Ladera Heights neighborhoods and provide conceptual designs that will lead to constructible projects.

The outreach and engagement for the View Park/Windsor Hills and Ladera Heights Community Traffic Safety Plan will provide community members the opportunity to not only learn about the project, but also communicate their experiences, concerns, and ideas regarding traffic safety in their community.
