The draft network aims to:
- Connect riders to key destinations, transit, and existing or planned bikeways
- Address concerns from community members from previous engagement
- Utilize bike facility best practices based on the existing conditions of the roads and the land uses around the road (for example, residential, commercial, etc.)
- Provide safe and comfortable routes for bicyclists of all ages and abilities
