Thank you for visiting our Departmental Recycling website. In addition to the resources found on this website, the County also offers recycling and waste reduction consulting services to institutions such as County facilities. These site visits involve conducting waste audits and making recommendations to implement recycling programs or enhance management practices, which may include providing a starter set of recycling bins.
If you are interested in receiving a site visit after viewing our website, then please follow the steps below:
1. Send an email to cdrp@dpw.lacounty.gov, with a cc: to your Department Recycling Coordinator (see list of Department Coordinators)
- Subject line:
Consultation Request - Department Name, Facility Name, Location Address
2. In the body of the email, include the following information:
- If the facility does not generate solid waste
- If the facility has a resource management / landfill waste diversion / recycling plan
- Attach the plan
- Mention if the plan is dated before November 2021
- If the facility has a Green Team or staff assisting Recycling Coordinators / Organic Waste Liaisons for various operations
- If the facility has set up any of the following:
- Food donation
- Reuse
- Recycling
- Waste diversion
- Composting
- Waste conversion
- Attach copies of invoices of the following for the last 12 months::
- Waste collection
- Recycling
- Other services
- If the facility has any solid waste receptacles that were not provided by the waste hauler for collecting recyclables
3. You’re done! We’ll contact you within five business days to follow up on the above information for preparing a consultation.
