Los Angeles County Bikeways
About LAC Bikeways
The Bikeways Unit at the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works (Public Works) is responsible for planning and developing bikeway projects and overseeing the ongoing operations of the County bikeways. We maintain approximately 100 miles of paved off-road Class I bike paths, both along the beach and numerous river ways, such as the Los Angeles River and San Gabriel River Bike Trails. We also maintain on-road Class II and Class III bikeways throughout the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County. We hope our website allows you to find useful information about upcoming bikeway projects proposed by the County, planned bikeway closures and bicycling events. Please feel free to contact us.
