Turning off the water when brushing teeth or shaving, saves 10 gallons per person per day.

Brushing Teeth and Shaving: Turning off the tap while brushing your teeth or shaving can save up to 10 gallons of water per person each day.

Dishwashing: Only run the faucet to rinse; save about 2.5 gallons a minute.

Dishwashing: Limit faucet use to just rinsing—this can save around 2.5 gallons of water per minute.

Showers: A five-minute shower with a water-efficient head saves 12.5 gallons over a 10-minute one.
