About The County Airports

Los Angeles (LA) County owns and operates five General Aviation airports across the County. The airports (excluding General William J. Fox Airfield) are classified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as “reliever” airports as they play a crucial role in alleviating congestion at nearby Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport, and Hollywood Burbank Airport.

Each year, these airports collectively accommodate over 400,000 takeoffs and landings, serving a diverse range of aviation activities, including personal and business travel, flight training, firefighting, disaster relief, search and rescue, law enforcement operations, medical transportation, and news, weather, and traffic reporting among various others.
